I thought that at one point Lauren Faust had said that Celestia and Luna weren't immortal, though now I can't find the quote. Anyway, this was just me imagining what final advice she would give to Twilight about ruling Equestria (which I assume she, and not Cadance, would do if Celestia were gone).
All the songs sound a bit similar, but they have a bit of different feels as well. For example, the first was a bit more aggressive than the later ones (which is odd), and this one is more melancholic.
I wonder how Celestia is going to die. I think it would make the most sense and be the most meaningful if she died in some sort of climatic battle that Twilight then has to finish.
Cadance shouldn't even exist. She was supposed to just be an ordinary unicorn, not an alicorn. It really doesn't make any sense in the context of the mythology for Cadance to be an alicorn. Anyway, Faust also said that Twilight's ultimate destiny is to become Celestia's successor, and she did indeed say the alicorns are technically mortal.
So what? This type of thing happens in children's movies all the time. Anyway, I wasn't talking about show specifically, just the lore in general. This song is about Celestia dying, having her die in anyway in the show is equally unlikely.
Ahhhh, I am seriously in love with your music!! Those chords are just beautiful, as is the bass tone. Yes.

0 likesi love the guitar in your songs, what do you use to get that sound?
0 likesIf anything like that were to happen on the actual show, I'd expect her to pull a Gandalf and just "depart" rather than being killed.

0 likesnot to be offensive of your singing but please could you relayer the song without lyrics and then give a download link to that? the music is gorgoues
0 likesMostly dream pop bands like the Cocteau Twins and Autumn's Grey Solace. But basically I just try to make stuff that's pretty.

0 likesFair enough, though unless she has some specific reason for having to depart it seems a bit anti-climatic to me.
0 likesReally, it's just chorus, delay, and a lot of reverb.
0 likesHopefully in a good way, though, and not because the song was so bad!
