Yes, Kit, the voice drops with age. It's the cumulative effect of testosterone on the larynx (vocal cords). Yes, testosterone; it regulates libido in both sexes. I used to be a rock tenor, until about 55. Now I'm a baritone/ bass. It's still disorienting at times.
