The audio aspect of these is always top notch. The sound effects and ambiance is always very well executed. The music for the radio in the background for example was perfect for the mood and the words of the song weren't distracting me from what the characters were saying.
And once again, the characters really shine through. They are definitely the best part of this series. I love how realistic and fleshed out they are. It really does feel like these are real people. You certainly have a talent for that aspect of writing.
The scene in the snow and the song at the end were a bit long, but overall didn't take too much away from my enjoyment of the special.
And you were able to put something out on schedule! Yay! I can only imagine how difficult it must be to make a 40 minute radio drama, and still get it done on time.
Overall, not my favorite thing you guys have done, but definitely very entertaining and an excellent look on the back stories of the characters.

Dang. I’m watching this a second time after just finishing it. This was beautifully written. I know it’s pretty old but this was still really awesome. The voice acting is great as well.
Revisiting the entire show again to the same result, the series is amazing. I can only hope with as much time has passed that anything new is on the horizon.
Fifth time watching the entire series in less than a week and this 40:41, right there with the build-up and mood makes the whole thing worth it. Again I love the series but, for now, I can't watch it anymore for fear of getting sick of it. By this point I think I've said all I can on the series and taken everything I could from it. The only thing I can do is wait for the next episode/special to arrive.

A well written, romantic story. :) I have to admit that I found the first 3 episodes funnier that 4 and 5 ( 6 had more humorus elements in it again) but thats fine because you picked some quite serious as topic for these episodes. In my opinion your show is less an abridged series in the usual sense but more your own story told by using mlp as a footing. Similar to the comic Friendship is Dragons for exemple. That's definitally not a bad thing! I really like the way, you do your research before episode 4 for exemple. It's much more believable that way! And that goes also for this sidestory. It is romantic but not cheesy and that's exactly the way it shoul be! Thus, what I want to tell you is simply "Keep up the good work and I will keep watching it!" :)

What puzzles me is the fact that Twilight walked into the storm instead of just teleporting home. She certainly has the power and capability, even if it's 3 miles away. Perhaps she just wanted to put on a show for Rainbow, but teleportation I think would still be more dramatic. Maybe she wanted her to follow her, but that contradicts what she told Rainbow. Maybe she was too drunk or just forgot, but both seem equally unlikely.

Not so much in our histories (As far as I can recall I've never led an uprising against my superiors…), but in the personality. We're pricks until we know you and when we befriend you good luck getting rid of us. At least that is how I've taken your Twilight.
Also I noticed how Twilight has a very memory, being able to remember things oh so vividly several years down the line seems to be more rare than I originally thought. Meanwhile Dash here seems to lose track of events rather easily as she forgot about Gilda's visit, more or less, and Twilight's barging in on her family during the holidays.
For some reason I thought I heard someone say how this was supposed to go into the rebellion Twilight led in Canterlot at some point during the planning, whether that was a dream or something else I'm really glad I got to list to this instead. Really needed this considering this rough patch I'm going through.

Something must have happened between '14 and '15, because the tone of the second Halloween special is totally different. The Master's characterization is taken three notches in the psycho direction, and the whole thing was just a recitation of Lovecraft lore. This is also where the whole "elements of harmony" story line started. Where it carried on in the origin special really ruined the series as a whole for me. If the mane 6 were already in with Celestia the whole time, it makes their motivations in the Ticket Master episode totally phony. If Fluttershy is a trained supersoldier, how could she have been authentically anxious about fighting a dragon? The twist really wasn't foreshadowed at all in anyone but Rarity, and that whole dark past, secret mercenary thing was originally what made her unique. If you want my most cynical opinion, I don't think that at the time they were making these, they had any idea how it would eventually pan out. What I think is that at a certain point, TheKanterlot decided they would rather tell a different story than the one they were doing, but rather than actually starting something new and risk losing all their popularity simply overwrote the old stuff.

The story always had designated points and events that needed to happen(and still do). Some personality traits and subtle flavor were dropped to have the story be smoother. The beginning is rocky for sure, still figuring out personalities(not to mention equipment!), but the story line has always been concrete. c:
