Listening to this while I walked home. The wind blowing mixed beautifully with the song and made me feel like striding into glorious battle for honor. I love this song more every time I listen to it.

I often thought that putting a drum set and a choir together was a bad idea, but 2:15 - 2:32 is just awesome. The vocals and the percussion are great together.

I cried a little from the pure awesomeness. While I watched this I had a vague image in my head of what the battle would be like in full awesome mode. It would be like a combonation of dragonballz, pokemon (mainly mewtwo), and avatar:TLA. Sigh. A brony can only dream......

This was absolutely fantastic. Of all the submissions to the brony remix battle, I liked this one the best (and I listened to all 40+ songs). Actually, of all the submissions, this was the only one that was great enough to download. It was a nice new style compared to the typical electronic / dubstep style that most brony music uses. Keep up the good work. Don't be discouraged if only a few of us really appreciate your music. You don't want to end up as a nightmare...I apologize for that.

That was epic! The one thing the MLP series is lacking is any kind of true villain. i doubt Trix could fulfill that role on her own but if she were possessed by the same evil that fed on Luna's jealousy and anger then she might make a formidable opponent for the mane 6. I can see her studying the forbidden magic or black magic inorder to become powerful and respected again. At any rate it is an awesome vid and the music is powerful!

I recognized a lot of elements from Globus' song "Preliator." A pretty good base to build off.

Sounds so awesome, Twilight and Trixie fighting would be so epic. I almost wanna do some vocals for the songs; but I'm not the greatest singer. :-p

I can completely imagine this song in an epic war game, or considering it's length, in some kind of movie trailer. The feelings I'm getting from this are amazing, and I can picture scenes in my head of some kind of war parade marching down the street and then when the epic guitar kicks in, some freedom fighters ambush the army and an epic battle begins.

Powerful music, love it. I just don't understand the fan-fiction towards Trixie is all. The show clearly shows that her magic is well..bad. All these videos of her fighting off against Twilight just ruins it for me, because my head canon tells me that Trixie is just a show mare with sub-par magical talent trying to go up against the strongest unicorn of her time.

@bnmftw Oh well let me enlighten you, Trixie was a unicorn who never really bothered to push her powers beyond what she needed them for. Much like humans, everyone can run but only a few are olympic track runners. So I think all unicorns have the same potential but not all of them really push themselves. This is the story of Trixie finally buckling down and putting all she's got into bettering her skills. Then coming back to kick Twi's ass :P

In my option, Trixie is talenedt yet could become much stronger. But, like the show proves, she is boastful and proud. If she were to learn humility she could become a truely memoriable character. I could even see Trixie becoming friends with Twilight if she was willing to change her attitude. Prehaps Twilight would even be willing to teach Trixie magic herself. Sure they could be rivals, and that would even be fun for a while, but for these two to become friends... I would like that.

@bnmftw Well, I think that she is above and beyond par in her magic, of all the Unicorns we've seen only her and Twilight do more than 3 or 4 spells total, Trixie bends light, brings a rope to partial life, causes explosions, changes the pigment in hair, among the common spells such as levitation. Twilight transmogrifies stuff, levitates massive objects, teleports, and can generate electricity through magic.

I do think the vocal's need some leveling though, they seem to jump between pitches throughout the song. They are beautiful, and I don't usually like vocal's in pony songs... Keep up the good work, sub'd :)

actually i think that the main reason why trixie would have the potential to go up against twi is because, unlike most unicorns, they share a single talent, magic. since a unicorn probable do there best in in the field of magic most used for there talent, twixie, like twilight, could be amazing in any field of magic.

@ASwiftNinjaRam Thanks for your comment, I really appreciate it, especially this being such an old song. Now, don't take this the wrong way but...Metalcore is an obscenity to me. I like some bands that are kinda like that (Bullet for my Valentine, Trivium, etc.) but most kids that try and make bands like Bring me the Horizon and other "breakdown" bands just ruined it for me. They all sound the same and there is often no singing at all. It is basically not very musical in my opinion.

Do you think Celestia would have decided to train her personally if that were the case? Some people are better at things than others naturally. It is a fact of life. Twilight has a shortage of social skills though. Trixie is superior in working a crowd and gathering an audience. Twilight is superior in raw magic but inferior in social theatrics. With just entertaining a crowd Trixie would win. Twilight has a higher natural aptitude in magic. Survival of the fittest in a niche.

@psychgoth Just give it time. As the FiM movement spreads out, it becomes harder to be acknowledged by the collective. Some people just started at the opportune time to be discovered. The view count will continue to rise, but ya need patience here. The fact of the matter is that it takes a lot of time to listen to all the tracks submitted for the remix battle. Just sit back, continue to create beautiful music, and the bronies will come.

Maybe the movie could be about Trixie using her magic to create the old my little ponies from the other generations and she makes them an army to destroy PonyVille, and mainly Twilight, due to ruining her living. But, in the end, Twilight and her friends team up to be the elements of harmony, with the necklaces and everything, and use their power of friendship to destroy the army, and Trixie runs off.

And yes I did use a translator and I know they never work right but it was better than nothing ^^; I have since rearranged the vocals and choir to suit English lyrics because even though I took German classes my grammar is horrible. I actually have a version with lyrics but it is still in an incomplete stage. I do not think I will ever be able to enlist the aid of an actual choir and record them however. *sad face*

seriously. i would NOT be surpriced by japan making an equal show as MLP like they did to powerpuff girls. This is clearly not the case with Twilight. She has a distinct and unfair advantage specifically because of her raw talent. It would be like Twilight having perfect pitch and Trixie being tone deaf with a cleft palate. No amount of practice or effort will help so Trixie appears to have cheated. Skills and fitness are not fair. A person born without legs cannot be a marathon runner with natural talent.

Can a mute person sing? There are some things some people are not capable of. That is why there are prosthetics. Technology evens the playing field a little bit. What is the purpose of glasses if all it takes to have perfect vision is willpower? Some people can overcome handicaps with willpower but sometimes that is not enough. The mute could be really good at writing songs while the singer with perfect pitch can't write a bit. Between the two is synergy ^_^ The mute writing for the singer

A tone deaf individual would have a much harder time singing than someone with perfect pitch. It isn't something that can be learned. Twilight has more raw potential power. The studying just allows her to control it. Inequality is a fact of nature. Everyone has a different niche.

Twilight has an overabundance of raw talent. She is objectively better than Trixie by birth. That is why she is the element of magic. Some people are better at some things than others. Trixie is better at rousing up a crowd. She's more theatrical. This is why it appears Trixie has cheated to gain power. She could not naturally match Twilight. It is like athletes that take steroids to improve their ability. Everybody is not the same... nor should they be.

So then are you saying that Twilight was born inherently better than Trixie? If this is applied to humans, you cross into really morally questionable stuff. I for one, refuse to believe some people are born better than others.

I think the idea of natural talent is a load of crap. A "talent" is essentially just a passion for something; what makes you good at it is lots of practice and study. But hey since you like it, it hardly seems like work right? I wasn't born gifted in music, and I'm still a long ways away to being excellent. However, all the work and practice is fun and thus not a taxing endeavor. This could apply to Trixie, she just needs study and practice. Which were things Twilight received.
