I know you said one of the morals was communication with Princess Celestia, but let's not forget what Twilight thinks of her a very important pony. It's kind of like the episode swarm of the century. The scene where Twilight says you can't just put up a welcome sign saying welcome celstest. Now imagine how Twilight would have been if she ask Princess Celestia for 4 more tickets. Yeah not going anywhere with that.
Can you do "Call of the Cutie"? You know, when the CMC begins? I just think the episode would fit your "DPC" style. I would have loved to ask Spike to write a letter that basically says: "Dear Celestia, Thanks for the tickets but aren't you missing something? Twilight have told you about her friends, you met them yourself, so why did you offer Twilight to have only one 'plus one'? I see three possibilities: 1) You totally forgot about them. Fair enough, you're ruling an entire kingdom 2) the GGG's preparations can't account for too many invited, which would be weird, especially for only four mares and a dragon more 3) you set this friendship problem I really really hope it's just the first one. Also I still don't get why Rainbow Dash, of all of them, didn't get any repercussion for what she did in this episode: she sabotaged her own job and ruined the afternoon of many ponies by gathering herself some rain clouds to pretend she'd do something nice for Twilight.
I don't think Twilight gave up too early. There wasn't really another solution. However she could have just asked Celestia. I think because it was only the third episode that Celestia simply forgot Twilight's new friends. She send 2 tickets, one for Twilight and one for Spike. I think Twilight figured that it was some sort of test from Celestia.
i've been thinking about why i picked luna as my favorite princess.... and i realised that she is actually a normal sister. see, luna, being younger, is always jealous of celestia because she is, for a lack of better terms, more popular than luna. thus, luna tries to get back at her. then fight happens, then she is banished to the moon, then comes back to get revenge, then she is restored to her normal self...... yeah. but honestly, if i was luna, i would have been jelous to of celestia's popularity (you know, how everyone is awake during the sun!) i think it's also a struggle to fit in during the day... for obvious reasons....... but it's the fact her jelousity towards celestia is NORMAL SISTER JEALOUSY! sorry for long comment!

Her reason was the only one that didn't involve abandoning Twilight at the gala.
Next episode should be (forgot the name) the one where we are first introduced to Babs and she bullies the CMC. :D I'd love to see what you come up with!
I think I just realized that the show having unicorn, Pegasus, whatever the word is for the mixture of both is, and normal ponies just might be symbolism for diversity (race), so kids could understand they should accept it.Maybe.
I think the next DPC should be on The Show Stoppers. Where the CMC enter the talent show and seem oblivious to their oh so obvious special talents. I think this is the only episode where we get a hint of what the CMC cutie marks might be, and it seems Twighlight Sparkle sees it too. Is the moral of the story don't be silly and ignore the obvious? Or what? I think this would be an interesting episode and explore some interesting topics on "the science of cutie marks" so to speak. I mean I would think once the other ponies pointed out how good one of the CMC was at doing a certain thing their cutie marks would appear. I hate how in this episode, all the Mane 6 want the ticket - so they keep buttering up Twilight. In this episode, they only care what she can give, and not at all that they're pressuring her into choosing - plus, Spike is so weird - he didn't want the ticket, which started chaos, then he wanted one, then he doesn't go to the Gala. Make up your mind.

Use the less-detailed version of you at 0:04 on the left and make it so it runs into a circle in a space background and the circle becomes your logo, and while it's playing make say "Ahh, ahh, ah, ahhh, ahh" like in the mlp theme song! I think it's a great idea, but I won't force you to do it! It's your choice completely, either way I won't be disappointed!

+Havilah O'Loughlin Pinkie Pie was the only one who deserved the ticket.
0 likesApplejack wanted to go to make money, which isn't just a terrible thing to do to your friend, because you're just not going to spend any time with them while you're there trying to make money. It's also a jerk move to the caterers that got contracted for the event, if not against the rules in the first place. Guests don't get to serve food. There's a time and place for business. If she really wanted to sell her apples at the gala, she should have got in touch with the organizers of the event. Then she wouldn't have even needed Twilight's ticket. So not getting to do that is entirely on her.
Rainbow Dash wanted to go in order to show off in the hopes of becoming a Wonderbolt, which is the opposite of what would have happened if she had gone through with her plan to ruin their performance, and, again, leaving Twilight to her own devices.
Rarity wanted to go in order to court a stallion she had never met. Which isn't just shallow and stupid, but where's Twilight in that?
Fluttershy didn't even want to go to the gala and could have probably visited the gardens any time she wanted, given her close relationship to the personal protégé of the Princess. What was she going to do, force Twilight to miss out on the event or leave her alone?
Pinkie Pie was the only one who actually wanted to go for the party and to have a good time. Her reason was the only one that didn't involve abandoning Twilight at the gala or keeping her from doing what she wanted to do.
(Turns out Twilight was just as selfish, but that's besides the issue of her friends and doesn't matter since the tickets were in fact hers)
+ATvW well Applejack at least took note of Twilight being hungry and bringing food. (which she might have done even without tickets, too. Though probably not that much). Should have gone with Spike if she really only had to take one...Although, the friendship was so new and Twilight to insecure, she just didn't want to leave any of them behind....

then see as discord and zecora are the only non ponies of equestria that use magic
discord is a chaotic being while zecora is very peaceful
discord is very straight, while zecora always wants you to think a bit more, and always answers in rhymes
discord goes anywhere he wants to when he wants to while zecora stays in her hut as much as possible
we know some of discord's story and why he does all this, while the story of zecora before she arrived in the show remains a mystery
discord will do tons of stuff just to do it, while zecora will only do what is necessary
discord and zecora represent some kind of ying and yang
