Rating (and review) of musiphyle (Musea) CD separately, as it contains more than 30 minutes of newly recorded material (1997) originally compiled from 1979-1982. Not surprisingly, the music has a similar compositional quality to the original album "No Pictures". Of course, the guitar here is more '90s pigs and less psychedelic from the '70s" which is a shame. The sonic landscape is a wider brush, with less finely pointed details. But it's still a good effort, and it shows that the band hasn't lost touch with their ambitious progressive background. Camel clearly remains their main influence on these tracks. From here they should have continued and actually improved their next corresponding edition of "Supercleandreammachine".

The band recorded "No pictures" (Q Records) in 1977 and survived until 1982.Under the influence of camel and to a lesser extent Focus and Genesis, Lady Lake offered extremely well-groomed and very melodic Progressive Rock with a variety of moods and atmospheres. Fred Rosenkamp's ultrasensitive guitar work will surely remind you of Camel's Andy Latimer, presenting a very melodic style with beautiful harmonies, a mild Canterbury feel and even some bluesy touches. A few pastoral passages with calm guitar playing are very close to early Genesis, while some jazzy parts resemble Jan Akkerman.Keyboards come as an absolutely fascinating element of Lady Lake music with superb atmospheric parts and lots of good solos. Fantastic discovery for all prog fans. A later re-formation at the dawn of the 90s was the reason for their debut, which musea Records re-realized with another cover, adding five new songs as additional material. Bien sûr, la guitare ici est plus de cochons des années 90 et moins psychédélique des années 70 » ce qui est dommage. Le paysage sonore est un pinceau plus large, avec des détails moins finement pointus. Mais c’est quand même un bon effort, et cela montre que le groupe n’a pas perdu le contact avec leur ambitieux parcours progressif. Camel reste clairement leur influence principale sur ces pistes. De là, ils auraient dû continuer et effectivement améliorer leur prochaine édition correspondante de « Supercleandreammachine ».
