It's never too late! In fact, learning Security and Pentesting couldn't be easier now! There are MANY resources on HackerOne, Bugcrowd, and on platforms like HackTheBox (you connect to a private network and hack live machines with different vulnerabilities and levels of difficulty). I urge you to all three platforms and take their courses (Bugcrowd University is a start) as well as watching retired HackTheBox machines and their write ups. You will learn a lot. You will get there.
Life catches up fast, the longer it goes the faster it seems. If you have a passion to learn something, DO IT. Take a nanodegree, or work shadow a security consultant, Andrew has a few ideas of were to start off. The fact your here means you still want to go somewhere with it.
