As always, awesome work ! I didn't know the original song so I got to discover it your way first. It is true that you stuck to the original but as you said, it was by choice. What I really miss in your latest releases (Determinator and this one) is your singing. Your voice sounds amazing and I hope we will hear it again soon !
As much as I utterly love the original, I feel like this cover is a bit too similar to it. I mean, compared to the other stuff you've done, this doesn't feel really "unique", or even made by you (If I didnt know who did it, I'd never think you were the author, as you didn't add much personal flare) In other words, it's still neat and greatly produced, but lacks a bit in creativity/style and differs really little from the original track imho. Anyways, can't wait for your next upload. Stay well and be happy :3
I guess I felt I had more to learn by aiming to flatter the original, rather than attempting to improve or alter it...I chose my own sounds for this, but the source material is so good there just wasn't much I wanted to change. This sort of thing gives me an insight into some different approaches to music making, hopefully resulting in a net improvement in what I produce. I value the response and get where you're coming from though. Thanks for the feedback :)
+replacer You're very welcome. I'm sorry if I sounded too harsh tho, it wasn't my intent. Moreover, I often try to recreate songs made by other people myself, for the same reason you did (among those there were actually 2 songs of yours that I tried to turn into MIDI compositions) so I totally understand why you did it. I hope you did indeed learn something from that :3 I know I learned a lot already thanks to you.
It makes me wonder, how long will Undertale be popular. How long will it take until almost no one can remember Megalovania or other pieces from it. It was good imo until 1:20. Edit: added a space after a period and added another period at the end.
honestly i think you should call it a remix. this is INSANELY similar to the original. to make a remade version, you dont use different instruments, but you gotta change the song itself, take some notes and change them to sound like what you think would go better in this song.
You have remix and remake mixed up. A remix is where you take parts of the song, add and change stuff. A remake is where you make it like the original version, and just swap out the instruments. When something is remade, you're replicating it. In remix, note the word mix, almost like it's mixed up, either with itself or with other ideas, melodies and parts.
So many remixes of this are out there, and here's another good one to add to the list. Good stuff.

This feels very happy and upbeat compared to what is going down when it plays in the game, I love it.
1 likeWhen I saw Megolavania and Replacer, I half-expected a really chill, laid-back rendition.

+DMC4EVERUCCI ....wait wait, I didn't notice the title sais "Fan Remake" tho. I'm sorry if my comment bothered you.
0 likes+DMC4EVERUCCI That's probably why this is called a "Remake" instead of a "Remix" or "Cover".
