@Kolby Miller I view that as her defence and coping mechanism. As the effect of her understanding that her mother loved the 2nd husband than her dad. And once Takara came to the picture and her mother and step father loved Takara even more, she grew more bitter towards them. As she explained she always wanted her mother's approval and never got it. That is why she was talking about all her achievement. Overall Charlotte has been emotionally neglected. She takes out her frustration on the people around her by being better, if you would look at it on a different angle it is a far cry for attention and approval she never got as a kid. She views Takara as the symbol of her hate and wants to take her happiness. Charlotte wants Takara to feel what she felt her mother and step father did to her. Charlotte is projecting and wants Takara to feel her pain. Being fueled by emotions this could have been avoided through communication if this has been done earlier.

In the older role plays she seemed like a pretty nice but uptight person who just happened to be a bit more up market in terms of what she liked to do for dates and such. Also, although she was hard working she was unaware of the major advantages afforded to her in getting a leg up on the ladder thanks to her parent's wealth.
