On this animation the mere thought that you didn't bother to animate something for whatever reason could be perceived by critics as laziness, or lack of talent. If he didn't bother animating the other horses perfectly, other people could just say the plot was an excuse to do a bad animation and sparing oneself from the critics.
As it is right now, nobody can say that he is a bad animator because everybody can see otherwise.
I relate to this so much. I love this guy's animations. So silly on the outside, but when you dig a little deeper, think a little smarter, and there's a whole world of possibility in these aninated works of art.

He may find a way to communicate to other (horses - creatures) that have minds more structured toward philosophy and higher level thinking and can subsequently relate to his struggles. Possibly through creative expression. A cartoon maybe................

She has a weird dis-formed eye and is blind on one side, which also causes her to fall down a lot when she spooks or gets too excited. On top of this, she's a bit of an awkward horse and has a hard time being accepted into the herd, maybe because is shy or possibly because her eye freaks the other horses out. I'm not sure, lol. But this video reminded me so much of her, I was laughing so hard.
Clearly the 3 horses were scared for their safety by the infinite energy the globe-horse was using to move in such a discontinuous fashion. I mean, what if he were to teleport into them? They might perish!
The absence of shadows actually adds to the simplistic appearance and the style of the animation. If the trees and the horses had shadows it would be a lot more crowded and complex. Less IS more.
@GashPlague You can't really blame MLP fans for thinking of MLP when something horse-related comes up, not any more than you can blame a Harry Potter fan for making some sort of Harry Potter reference whenever there's a witch or a wizard or something magic-y happening.

Someone honestly needs to tell you this. This is crap. I spent a lot of time trying to find 'The External World' and was very happy to have found it again, but the rest are sorely lacking. What begins as a simple but interesting video, decends into immature noises, crap animation and then leaves you with no feeling. The point is clear but put across poorly. Just my opinion.
