You mean over the sun. Also I wonder why they don't do something like this with luna. Yeah there is apart of her history about her being evil but Luna also did good things too before then.
@@joshblackwell8632 Well, I don't remember exactly why, because I started watching MLP at the age of 11, in 2011, and my then character and interests are a mystery to me, but introspection says the following: I could dislike Rarity for her femininity, for fear of getting dirty, for her image of a lady, which, however, did not contradict her fighting spirit, which I began to understand (and remember) from 4 season. And surprise-surprise — by the end of the series, I realized that I had developed some of my traits thanks to her(playful drama, love for stylish images and appearances). With Celestia, everything is somewhat simpler - "she's not the Luna" and "in fanfiction, she's kind of muddy, I don't trust her." And again, all this does not make sense when you get to know her better :p
20:57 She's probably thinking "Sure, when my sister does it, it's okay, but when I try to raise the moon during the day, I get banished for a thousand years."
Seeing Celestia all giddy isn’t just adorable, but it points out how much Nicole Oliver’s voice range on Celestia’s every waking moment is quite versatile!
twist58 I agree. This is one of the rare times we see Celestia being this lively rather than calm and collected as usual and I like that we were able to see it here.
I'm STILL convinced that Tia was just trolling them, at first, and then when Twilight didn't call her out on it from the start, she kept it going to teach her a lesson.
On rewatch I noticed how she put emphasis on Twilight to not treat her special or give her special treatment but Twilight didn't understand her meaning between the lines until she had to be taught the lesson more harshly
I really think Celestia was trolling and knew her acting was bad the entire time. I think she just wanted to teach Twilight a lesson. Mostly that she shouldn't be treated as any more special than anyone else, just because she's a princess.
Yeah but at the beginning of the episode she says she has no acting experience at all, in a way that puts emphasis on it as if she already knows she isn't a great actor. That doesn't mean she couldn't be genuinely upset too, but I think she was aware of how it might turn out.
I could have been convinced of that too, were it not for how genuinely upset Celestia seemed after Twilight's outburst. That level of emotion in her voice before she flew off did not feel like an act at all.
5:44 starlight, I love you. She practically said what everyone thought. This episode brings us a lot of information, we learned how long celestia had her talent and it means luna and celestia ruled just over 100 years before the nightmare moon accident... so luna spend almost her entire life on the moon... its pretty sad. Twilight freaking out is always fantastic. One of the best season 8 episodes for me.
Celestia is such a troll, in the movie she didnt do it, here she did. Luna disapproves, when she raised the moon early she was sent there. That trixie mention, so good...
you forget the clear context differences between the two scenarios. one is a massive celebration that was going fully as planned, and the other is a play that was a total disaster. Celestia and Luna didn't need to help save the party, but was needed to save the play.
Luv this Celestia based episode! It shows shes just as human like as the other ponies too. Nicole her voice actress was having a blast playing her in this episode I can tell X3
This is a pretty good episode. It's great that Celestia gets character development. Seeing Celestia trying to act is great. Although not to sure about Twilight here.
When Celestia started talking about the plays with her old friends. I got worried. I thought oh no im gonna cry aren't i. I thought at some po8nt she'd talk about having to move on. From them. Since she immortal
5:19 I guess Rainbow's power level has been increasing through training, so sonic rainbooms are now second nature to her. Next thing you know, she'll have to fight a literal god of chaos by turning into a god with the help of five other good-hearted ponies... Wait a moment, that sounds familiar.
@@rabidbunnyman1678 I know you were thinking Dragon Ball. You were referencing Battle of Gods. I knew,, and that' why I went for something different. ...You know, in case you didn't get it...
That was one season before and nearly risked being banished to the moon/petrified/sent to Tartarus from the royal sisters three times in less than 2 minutes and then during sleep she risked losing her sanity for following her guts, so even she has been thanked (and suffering Twilighìs interrogation), the scare and emotional scar remained and led Glim Glam to be more cautious and fearful with dealing with the princesses (outside Twilight)
"What could go wrong?" - how many time this was told already. Transmutation and reassembly magic exist in this world; the first option and substitute could have been fixed/replaced easy. Trollestia strikes again.
"Fortunately, I know a thing or two about how to deal with those!" 'Twilight, deal with this disaster for me.' That's what she knows about how to deal with disasters.
I know it's a children's cartoon show, but it honestly does frustrate me how much Twilight reverts back to her Lesson Zero psychosis in this episode. Lying to Celestia, ignoring Applejack's advice, thinking that canceling the show is a worthwhile idea, never actually asking Celestia how she might like to be involved with the show instead of simply casting her as the lead right off the bat.... It's almost as cringeworthy as those awful "acting teacher" ponies. XD
When they talk about improvisation voice actors, do that in the recording booth the most famous example is , Jim Backus he was doing, Mr. Magoo he basically did improvisation with Jerry Hausner who did the voice of Waldo
I just realized something g....you know when he said..dandy she can just sonic rainbooms now.?....I feel like the answer is the training she does ....I mean she is a wonder bolt and she never really trained cause she didnt think she needed to soooooo how fast is she now...she must be like three times as fast as before she joined the wonderbolts.....I hope I'm not alone in my thinking
It's not a plot hole if she intended to do that as a lesson. And perhaps she wasn't lying, maybe her theater skills aren't that good but she almost looked like she was intentionally doing a bad job of it to have Twilight not treat her special but to treat her as an equal.
first of all , Trouble Shoes or what his name again ? he's a pony .. just big .. kind of .. but the Saddle Arabian(MLP) do count as horses , well they don't have CM
I mean, seriously . . . she's a thousand+ year old politician . . . .You honestly think she can't act? I mean, the bit at the end kidna proves it. Celestia fucks up a lot, but we love her anyway . . . cause she's got a great ass. :)
Celestia fans definitely must have been over the moon with how great this episode was for celestia as a character.
