Twifan4ever xx That impression kinda reminds me of Ashleighâs other role in the show Littlest Pet Shop. Her character Blythe Baxter went into full arrogance-mode with that type of accent and tone.
Writers: We seem to have realized that some fans liked Rarity's impression of Pinkie Pie a few episodes back. So, you like impressions, do you? Here, have five more.
12:20 I mean when you think about it this is some really impressive voice acting. The same voice actor who does rainbow does applejack and right now sheâs voicing Rainbow Dash doing an impression of applejack.
Though I have to say what really got my attention was Ashleigh Ballâs amazing impression of RD imitating AJ at the same time. Something thatâs not an easy feat for some voice actors.
2:25 "She's accomplished her dream." That's Rarity, Twilight (well, I guess that was more Celestia's dream for her), and now Rainbow Dash. Talk about progress!
Shows you how great a va Ashleigh ball is you know how hard it is to a character doing an impersonation of another that you also voice and still sound like the original character thats true talent
16:36 Every time I watch this scene, I can't help but think back to Gilda's testimony: "Rainbow Dash killed that other pony with a storm cloud. I was there."
@@karoldudzinski3975 It's a line from Turnabout Storm, an absolutely brilliant fanmade crossover between MLP:FiM and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. You can find it here on YouTube. This exact quote comes from episode 4, around the 12:30 mark
Even though the original creator Lauren Faust left the series by this point she said that it had always been her plan for Rainbow to become a wonderbolt, Rarity to open the Canterlot shop, and what happened to Twilight.
@@Obi-Wan_Kenobi I only meant that Lauren Faust's plan was for Twilight to take Celestia's place. I don't know if Twilight being an alicorn was a part of it or not. However even though several fans (including me at first) didn't like the direction they went in with Luna and Celestia I do get the moral of the story. A hard worker like Twilight shouldn't limit herself to being a pale copy of her idol she should aim to surpass Celestia.
Wait, are you sure it was her plan to make Twilight a princess? I under the impression that it was never her plan to give her wings because she designed Celestia and Luna as the only the only alicorns. I do thing she planned for Twilight to eventually take over, but not as an alicorn. Pretty sure that was Hasbro's idea to sell more toys.
Some people got upset at this episode because they didn't understand the concept of having a call sign in the military/air force and thought the Wonderbolts were just being bullies.
21:08 Spitfire: "You don't wanna know what they call me." PonyBro: "I actually do."
My personal theory: Stripfire. During her first performance, she flew too close to a tree and part of her suit got snagged on a branch, ripping the whole thing off her.
Crashing does seem to be RDâs weakness. I find it strange considering she established she can scan all around her whilst flying in Testing Testing 1 2 3
While this episode ends her arc as becoming a wonderbolt, its not the end of her story, she can achieve more there are more to come. Many hated this episode because it was not an epic celebration, but I think it was a pretty good episode if you look at the bigger picture.
I think I figured out Spitfire's nickname. If I'm correct, it's one that would not make it past the censors, and the only difference is the second letter.
Rainbow dash just needed to get a sense of humor and recognize they were just ripping on her, by calling her crash also I appreciate it how they don't give all the answers and leave it to the imagination as to what Spitfires nickname is, I I imagine it's swallow fire ( what could be worse than crash) it must be derogatory and sexual; I imagine on her first day sh got in an accident with Soarin and ending up in a compromising position she ended up sucking him off, in front of everyone, and didn't spit anything out when she was done.
I was not a fan of how the Wonderbolts acted in this episode. They really made Rainbow feel like garbage and that's inexcusable. I don't care if it's tradition to give a degrading nickname to newbies, it's a tradition of cruelty.
It isnât really cruel, at least not in this case. Teasing a child in school, totally! Thatâs terrible!
But this is a different scenario. Itâs a group of adults who know what theyâre getting into, (or at least they should). They arenât teasing strangers, theyâre teasing each other in the group. Itâs like a group of friends or acquaintances teasing each other. Not out of cruelty, but either out of instructional discipline, or just fun. But at the end of the day, they know itâs not personal. In fact, some of the wonderbolts even came up to her without any hostility at all. Proving it wasnât to mean anything actually mean. Itâs all about the intention.
Rainbow just didnât know thatâs how it worked yet. Which I feel is fault on both sides. The team probably shouldâve told her that sooner (though perhaps they assumed she knew already), and RD didnât really go up to Spitfire and tell her up front that she felt horrible being called âCrashâ until the very end of the episode, at which point the team DID finally let her know the reason for the name.
@@GuyWithNoNickName Reckless might not be the best word to describe this more like impulsive. But what did she think was going to happen with those impressions. This is season 6 Rainbow and she had overnight to think on it. And it still feels like season 1 Rainbow improving or a little worse.
@@thaddeusr.3967 It was mostly pride that got in the way. She looked forward to this for the longest time. And had a specific idea of how she thought it would and should go. When youâre so zoned in on one thing, other things can sometimes go out the window in the moment. Like with the storm cloud thing. She thought it was a good idea at the moment, but once she finally got up to it, her fight or flight kicked it, and she bowed out last second.
I wouldnât say she was dumb at all. She just wanted something really badly, and was too focused on it. Not thinking straight.
As for not communicating, again pride. She didnât want to admit that anything was bothering her until the end. At one point a wonderbolt even came up to her trying to encourage her, but RD just brushed it off to not look weak in front of her idol team.
