I used to be a Pegasister but let the fandom because I didn't like where the fandom was heading and I became a full furry also that's one of the reasons why I left the community because of BS stuff like that
I absolutely agree with your rant about this topic because those kids who grew up watching MLP and had watched fan made horror parodies of the show who actually got offended rather than traumatized by content they shouldn’t be allowed to watch when they were younger unsupervised by their parents or guardians. And those dumb toxic kids are not victims of trauma because they aren’t they are just using the victim card as a weapon against bronies and the MLP fandom because they are upset and mad by the content they posted which they didn’t like and offended by them so they decided to start drama and putting the blame on the bronies. Like you said in the video and your community post is that they are not the victims of trauma, they are just another group of anti-bronies who are doing it to bring more hate and drama and what their also doing is an insult to actual victims of trauma.
I almost made a video on this topic myself. There are others also claiming that all bronies are toxic and saying They no longer wanted to watch MLP because of adult men.
as someone how got really traumatized after seeing my friend dead beside me why just why like I watched every creepypasta and didn't get traumatized but you yes
You're blowing this out of proportion. Criticism of the fandom is not an attack on bronys as a whole. Furthermore like I said in the comments on your community post, people can be traumatized by many different things, animated gore included. Two things can be true at once, this is not a dichotomy. Separating peoples "real" trauma from their "fake" trauma based solely off YOUR arbitrary definition is just silly.
Young kids are very dumb and they have trouble differentiating what is real and what is fake. This includes animation. That's not to say that some trauma is not much worse than others but the point is moot. I think you are up in arms about this because you can't handle criticism of the fandoms classic works gracefully, and you would rather attack people making claims that you find preposterous.
Just an edit. (Transphobes do the same thing you're doing btw)
I don't believe your trauma is real because when I was a kid I never got traumatized by (insert this specific MLP fanwork) There are only (this amount) of things you can be traumatized by.
I don't believe your trans identity is real because when I was a kid I always identified as what I was born with. There is only 1 gender you can be, and its the one you're born with.
watch literally any of the videos mentioned, they are quite literally direct attacks to bronies as a whole. also don't compare this to transphobia wtf ??? you're simultaneously showing that you haven't paid attention to the video and not only that, but you're trivializing transphobia by comparing it to fandom discussion. This is a childish take
@2ManyPinkiePies Comic trying to drum up drama is the childish thing. The video was not an attack, but a criticism. Also its not trivializing anything. It's called an analogy because the two things are analogous in the hypothetical I just explained. The analogy was to emphasize why Comics argument is silly since he would never make the same argument if you replaced mental trauma with trans identity.
