Keep in mind how long it takes to make an episode of a cartoon. Derpy appears in a few episodes after The Last Roundup because the storyboard artists and animation team had already put her in the episodes before the controversy and subsequent censorship of Derpy in The Last Roundup. She disappears later on in Season 2 and for all of Season 3 and the beginning of Season 4 until her grand return in Rainbow Falls.

Not sure this applies in all places but here it’s a no. Alcoholic cider is called hard cider. The stuff in the episode is fresh pressed. Fresh pressed cider is very good. But there was a reason why this episode was edited in other countries.

The show was made in Canada.
In Canada, for Cider to be called Cider, it LEGALLY must contain a minimum of 2.5% alcohol content.

The non alcoholic varieties are specifically called APPLE Cider. If its just called Cider then its alcoholic.

Also to clear up the matter on the alcohol thing once and for all, this cider IS alcoholic. First of all, in Canada, which is where the show was made in, cider has to contain a certain amount of alcohol in it in order for it to be cider. Second, cider doesn't foam like that if it isn't alcoholic, even if it's carbonated. That is a fundamental law of physics.

THE GLASSES-

This is an episode a lot of people like, but I really don't—other than the song of course. Flim & Flam's machine is actually amazing and the only real problem was F&F's greed in wanting 75%, instead of a fairer option; especially being that the apple family does most of the work in taking care of the orchard and supplying almost everything. In conclusion, other than F&F's greed, their machine was actually great.
