.......Ovaj jedini album Short Crossa mješavina je hard rocka i blues rocka s nekim psihodeličnim elementima. Kvaliteta materijala malo previše varira ako mene pitate. Najbolji dijelovi su vrlo dobri i album uključuje neke jake gitarske radove, ali najslabije pjesme su prilično osrednji i generički blues rockeri. Nisam impresioniran tim prokletim rogovima u nekim od ovih pjesama.
Izvorni privatni presing je vrlo rijedak kolekcionarski predmet i cijeli ovaj LP je prilično
zaboravljen. Ali ako vam se sviđa hard rock ranih 70-ih, možda biste trebali pogledati ovaj album. To definitivno nije remek-djelo ako mene pitate, ali uključuje neke impresivne trenutke.Jedini album američkog (Virginia) benda Short Cross koji je svirao visoko energičan i sofisticiran Rock s glavnom gitarom i teškim orguljama, lijepo produciran i izveden. Nekoliko pjesama također sadrži mjedene aranžmane, donekle slične Blood, Sweat &Tears i Chicago, a jedna ima gudački aranžman. Odličan samozvani materijal, snažan vokal i sjajan instrumentalni rad, posebno gitara. Iako nejasan, ovaj album je dobar kao i sve što je tada snimljeno i zaslužuje da ga se ponovno otkrije. .......Ce seul album de Short Cross est un mélange de hard rock et de blues rock avec quelques éléments psychédéliques. La qualité du matériau varie un peu trop si vous me demandez. Les meilleures parties sont très bonnes et l’album comprend un travail de guitare fort, mais les chansons les plus faibles sont des rockers blues assez médiocres et génériques. Je ne suis pas impressionné par ces maudites cornes dans certaines de ces chansons.
La presse privée originale est un objet de collection très rare et tout ce LP est tout à fait
oublié. Mais si vous aimez le hard rock au début des années 70, vous devriez peut-être regarder cet album. Ce n’est certainement pas un chef-d’œuvre si vous me demandez, mais il comprend des moments impressionnants. Le seul album du groupe américain Short Cross (Virginie) qui a joué du rock très énergique et sophistiqué avec une guitare solo et un orgue lourd, magnifiquement produit et exécuté. Plusieurs chansons comportent également des arrangements de cuivres, un peu similaires à Blood, Sweat &Tears et Chicago, et l’une a un arrangement de cordes. Excellent matériel auto-stylé, voix puissantes et un excellent travail instrumental, en particulier la guitare. Bien que vague, cet album est aussi bon que tout ce qui a été enregistré à l’époque et mérite d’être redécouvert. De tout cœur recommandé!ladislav&zivanovic.......
.......This only Short Cross album is a mix of hard rock and blues rock with some psychedelic elements. The quality of the material varies a little too much if you ask me. The best parts are very good and the album includes some strong guitar work, but the weakest songs are pretty mediocre and generic blues rockers. I'm not impressed with those damn horns in some of these songs.
The original private press is a very rare collector's item and this whole LP is quite
forgotten. But if you like hard rock in the early '70s, maybe you should watch this album. It's definitely not a masterpiece if you ask me, but it does include some impressive moments. The only album by the American (Virginia) band Short Cross that played highly energetic and sophisticated Rock with a lead guitar and heavy organ, beautifully produced and executed. Several songs also feature brass arrangements, somewhat similar to Blood, Sweat &Tears and Chicago, and one has a string arrangement. Excellent self-styled material, powerful vocals and great instrumental work, especially guitar. Although vague, this album is as good as anything recorded at the time and deserves to be rediscovered. Wholeheartedly recommended!ladislav&zivanovic.......
