Nastala sredinom 70-ih, Independent Musicians Associated (MIA) bila je skupina glazbenika, tehničara i ladica koje su okupili roditelji Lita i Liliane Vitale. Samostalno su producirali ploče i koncerte. Njihova glazba složen je simfonijski rock s definitivnim argentinskim/latino folk utjecajem s više koralja i vokala koji su lijepo u kontrastu s klavijaturama i sjajnim zvukom gitare na jakoj ritmičkoj dionici. Na njih je visoko utjecala simfonijska glazba, koju su više cijenili ELP, GENTLE GIANT i FOCUS.Njihov prvijenac bio je "Transparencias", izvrstan album klasike. Njihov drugi album bio je vokalno orijentiran. Predvođen Albertom Muñozom - autorom tekstova - ovaj je napor bio drugačiji pristup, iako je i dalje zadržao simfonijsko raspoloženje u obliku pjesama. Na "Cornostipicumu" MIA se vratila instrumentalno-simfonijskom rocku s razrađenim komadima kao što je "Crifana y Tamílstenes". Ovaj album je vrlo preporučljiv klasik i zasigurno jedan od najboljih ikad iz Argentine. Posljednje izdanje MIA-e bio je veliki projekt pod nazivom "Conciertos", 3-LP album koji se sastoji od snimaka uživo s posljednjeg seta koncerata grupe. Sve to dolazi vrlo preporučljivo, MIA je bila jedinstveni glazbeni ansambl s definitivno progresivnom etikom.Zivanovic&Ladislav………….

Créé au milieu des années 70, l’Independent Musicians Associated (MIA) était un groupe de musiciens, de techniciens et de tiroirs réunis par les parents Lita et Liliana Vitale. Ils ont produit des disques et des concerts par eux-mêmes. Leur musique est un rock symphonique complexe avec une influence folk argentine / latine définie avec plus de coraux et de voix qui contrastent bien avec les claviers et le grand son de la guitare sur une forte section rythmique. Ils ont été fortement influencés par la musique symphonique, qui a été plus appréciée par ELP, GENTLE GIANT et FOCUS. Leurs débuts ont été « Transparencias », un excellent album de classiques. Leur deuxième album était orienté vocalement. Dirigé par Albert Muñoz - l’auteur des paroles - cet effort était une approche différente, bien qu’il ait conservé une humeur symphonique sous la forme de poèmes. Sur « Cornostipicum », MIA est revenu au rock instrumental-symphonique avec des pièces élaborées telles que « Crifana y Tamílstenes ». Cet album est un classique fortement recommandé et certainement l’un des meilleurs jamais d’Argentine. La dernière sortie de Mia était un projet majeur appelé « Conciertos », un album de 3 LP composé d’enregistrements live de la dernière série de concerts du groupe. Created in the mid-70s, the Independent Musicians Associated (MIA) was a group of musicians, technicians and drawers gathered by parents Lita and Liliana Vitale. They produced records and concerts on their own. Their music is a complex symphonic rock with a definite Argentine/Latin folk influence with more corals and vocals that contrast nicely with the keyboards and the great sound of the guitar on a strong rhythmic section. They were highly influenced by symphonic music, which was more appreciated by ELP, GENTLE GIANT and FOCUS. Their debut was "Transparencias", an excellent album of classics. Their second album was vocally oriented. Led by Albert Muñoz - the author of the lyrics - this effort was a different approach, although it still retained a symphonic mood in the form of poems. On "Cornostipicum," MIA returned to instrumental-symphonic rock with elaborate pieces such as "Crifana y Tamílstenes." This album is a highly recommended classic and certainly one of the best ever from Argentina. Mia's latest release was a major project called "Conciertos," a 3-LP album consisting of live recordings from the band's last set of concerts. All this comes highly recommended, MIA was a unique musical ensemble with definitely a progressive ethics. Zivanovic&Ladislav.............
