All those things can be done by a simple line command in virtually every linux distribution out there ! I don't see why parrot would be any special. Plus, kali is better for pen testing

First I would suggest not getting kali linux or parrot os when getting started. I would get parrot os if you think you want the tools already installed. When studying ethical hacking I suggest making it a routine everyday to study a little to help better achieve your goal. When starting ethical hacking it will feel very difficult but don't let that stop you.
Parrot is built over Debian testing which is not stable. The last time I checked (1 week ago) parrot is had a bug in kde due to which you could not open apps on kde. Unless you are used to Linux and know basic command line and apt trouble shooting, I don’t recommend using parrot as a main os . People don’t use kali(as ur primary os) because of the same reason .
So I installed parrot security as a dual boot with windows and I've been having issues with the pre installed pen testing tools not able to find Konsole, im rather new to Linux but want to learn, do you have any info on this issue?? It happened after I updated the OS from the install on their website
