Riff Raff est un groupe de rock progressif britannique formé par le claviériste Tommy Eyre en 1972. Le groupe était une continuation sur le dos des batteurs (et des amis de la Harrow School of Art) Rod Coombes et du projet de Joe Czarnecki (alias Joe Peter) à l’origine appelé « Crikey » qui a commencé en 1969 et s’est terminé en 1970, lorsque Coombes a dû accepter des engagements de tournée croissants avec Juicy Lucy. Ces sessions comprenaient la moitié de l’album Outside Looking In de Riff Raff, dans lequel Coombes a écrit la moitié des chansons.
Riff Raff a ensuite sorti deux albums à la réponse tiède; cependant, leur utilisation du jazz et du rock hard-edged leur a valu un grand public underground. Riff Raff a également sorti le single « Copper Kettle ».
