Tangerine Dream is a German rock band, mainly of instrumental music, from Berlin. The group was formed in 1967 by Edgar Froese who was then studying painting and sculpture. The group underwent several personnel changes over the years. Edgar Froese was the only constant member until his death on January 20, 2015.
Violinist and cellist Conrad Schnitzler and drummer and composer Klaus Schulze are members of the second formation.
