Fun Fact: this episode actually came out a few months after the first FNAF game came out and became very popular back in 2014!
Also I can't be the only one but "Giffany" always reminded me of a humanoid/pixelized version of the Pokémon Sylveon! Eh. Idk. Maybe it was because she had blue and pink hair with ribbons!
This episode is my favourite so far because of how it aged. It aged like damn champagne. And yet, the next episode manages to absolutely trounce every other standalone episode (including the S1 finale). It's truly amazing how well this show works.
Also, I second watching The Owl House after this.
EDIT: I mean Episode 7. The next one isn't really a full episode, but it's great nonetheless.
Congratulations on finishing your thesis! Good luck with your final exams. :) This episode indeed predates Five Nights at Freddy's. The bear seems to be a reference to Showbiz Pizza while the badger seems more like 90s Chuck E. Cheese.
Some things about Gravity Falls. The shapeshifter in that one episode is voiced by Mark Hamill. Also, it's a good example of how the show uses supernatural elements to reinforce real themes. It's probably no coincidence that that episode is about how Dipper disguises his true feelings, and the main monster is a shapeshifter of all things. Just like the first episode shows how Mabel is overly eager to get a boyfriend, and the monster there is a bunch of gnomes who want a queen.

As well as exactly 3 years (Disney XD) before DDLC and Monika, yeah.

I was so excited for you to see this episode. It's one of my favorites out of the whole series. It's basically the DDLC meets FNaF episode

@twist58 More of a wicked changeling. Unlike boggart, we've seen true form of Shapeshifter.
0 likesKinda like the Boggart in Harry Potter. No one knows what it looks like as it constantly shapeshifts into whatever a person really feels.
1 likeyes "3D Woman never beat 2D Woman" lol
